JUST IN: ASUU Directs Members To Reject Incomplete Salaries From.... -Read Full Story!!

#The Academic Staff Union of Universities, on Wednesday, told Nigerians to hold the Federal Government responsible for the growing corruption in public universities across the country.

ASUU also directed its members to reject all incomplete salaries from the government starting from the end of March.

According to the union, the cut in remittances to public universities by the Federal Government, leading to the payment of staff salaries in bits, has only led workers to indulge in corrupt practices in an effort to cater for their needs.

The National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, made this known in Abuja, during a press briefing on the outcome of its National Executive Council meeting, which was held in Modibo Adama University of Technology, Adamawa State.

He said that ASUU had mandated all its members “to reject all incomplete payments from the government, starting from the end of March.”
