University of Ibadan Organises Students' Union Week 2016; See More Details About The Glamorous Event...

FROM THE OFFICE OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT: QUICK UPDATE ON SU WEEK 2016
To start with, I use this medium to appreciate every Uite for your trust, belief and continuous support for this administration. As we all aware, we are in the second phase of the session and STUDENTS UNION WEEK is fast approaching.
For the sake of our fresh students, the University of Ibadan students’ union week is undoubtedly the biggest annual event on our Campus. It is a time we come together to celebrate the evolvement of our dear Union, usually a week long. The week is usually a euphoric period for students packed with a mix of entertaining and educative activities. This year’s week is targeted at raising the bar highly above the existing marks*.
As you may all have been seeing, publicity for the week has commenced. While I would have loved to give a detailed breakdown of planning activities so far, I promise to do so upon the approval of our proposed budget by THE STUDENTS’ REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL.

As earlier stated, this year’s event is envisioned to take a quantum leap, therefore we have decided to add some new events to consolidate on the existing ones.

The week, we hope to hold in October. We appreciate us all for helping out with ideas, connections and awareness. We hope not to disappoint you.

In respect to this, the following forms for participating in some of the events are out for sale already.

Contest Prizes

We have got calls and enquiries from various corners wishing to know our star prizes for each of these contests. Just as stated before, as soon as our proposed budget is approved and we finalize all plans with our proposed sponsors, we will officially announce the star prizes for these events.
But we encourage you to purchase your forms early enough as only those who got their forms before the deadlines will be eligible to contest.

Lastly, we have decided to allow a 20% discount for those who purchased the form for the IVORY KING & QUEEN in the last tenure. A discount of 1,000 only is granted to those involved, should they choose to contest this year.

All forms are to be picked at the office of the STUDENTS’ UNION VICE-PRESIDENT
All forms close on the 21st September, 2016.

I use this moment to say a big “THANK YOU” to all members of the committees and their heads for the work in progress and sacrifices made so far in a bid to ensure the success of this event.

Once again to our Muslim brothers and sisters HAPPY SALLAH.
