OPEN LETTER TO UNIBEN SUG : The Conjunctions and the Offices

   Standing on protocols, respect to who respect is due, my fingers have been twitching, itching and battling to let out the anger scribbled in alphabets. This article is a work of

mine, you don't have to read... Seriously.
    Over the past one year, I have seen more "In conjunction with" banners than I have seen maingate. Makes me wonder if political offices in the ALUTA struggle are now in the conjunction and not the administration business. I mean, since when did the number of programs you organized while in office become a yardstick to measure performances? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying organizing programs ain't right, I am simply asking if conjunction was part of the reason.

    At the last SUG Elections, the second female President emerged and I told my friend that she was going to determine the fate of the girl child in politics, not just in UNIBEN but the whole Nigeria. A semester gone already and I weep for the future of the "We want equal political offices" towncriers. Don't even think this write-up is to bash her, no... Besides, I like her.

   SAFE IMPACT TEAM... The name they called themselves - sorry, the name the President called HIS team. Can somebody please tell these ones that their tenure is almost over and they are no different from the much talked about PMB's CHANGE AGENDA? We are tired of them giving us the same garbage previous 'whatever' team gave us. Well, at least Raymond gave us a park and till today, it has not been commissioned.

   Dear SUG President, you were amazing during your campaign, you made so many promises and you are yet to fulfil the major ones. Probably President Buhari is your mentor but  at least HE still have the Presidential Jets to go on his all expense paid trips - my taxes. Where are OUR Aluta Jets? What States are they in? We have been seeing you in a new BUS, where did you get it?
    You promised billboards, well at least you fulfilled it for just ummm... One day? Perhaps billboards are supposed to be uprooted after just one day. By the way, wetin happen to those billboards?

    Wait! Why am I asking my Comrade 001 sef? What is the work of your PRO? Let me guess, to give updates on resumption and other irr'elephant' dates in school. It makes me wonder if there is difference between Goodnews UNIBEN and SUG PRO. For sheep's sake, the PRO is not a blogger. The PRO is supposed to update us on affairs of the SUG and the school at large; What is happening in the Parliament? What projects are at hand? What is the budget? And yes... What is in our financial pulse? You want to know the number one problem of Nigeria as a country today? TRANSPARENCY. And which better way to change it if not at the root level? Well, at least the National level does budget launching et al. Biko, leave news update for aspiring SUG office holders, do your work, we pay you for it - and we elected you to do it. By the way, I heard you are 'conjunction'ing with a NIGHT CLUB soon... Kwontinue.

   Welfare Director, I seriously don't have words for you. Please look for the Genesis of SUG Market and return the market to what it used to be. Students are being exploited, forget recession, these market sellers are exploring us.

    Who be our Fin Sec. that year sef? I nor wan too blame am, because that office na just title, am not sure she even knows what's in the Treasury, na naija we dey.

   Secretary General, maybe I don't know the function of your office that much, probably I have been so used to Sec Gens doing same thing year in and out, I have forgotten the duties of a Sec Gen. I remember the days of Akahome Pascal, dude was informing students of the happenings in the administration. And he definitely was not the king of 'conjunctions'.

I want to stop here for now...
I am Kolotian, and I have no intention to run for any SUG Office.

Seriously, I meant that.... It's not what you are thinking.
